5 Trout Fishing Tips

Trout fish are fresh water species, that are said to vacate polluted areas, so they are found in great lakes, and rivers, but they are mostly found in streams.

Types of Trout fish

Trout fish are of four kinds;

  1.  Brown trout
  2. Rainbow trout
  3. Brook trout
  4. Cutthroat trout

Fishing is regulated by authorities in the US and it is therefore good to stick to the regulations by the government. This includes issuance of a license. After obtaining your license, pick your hooks, rod or reel and fishing lines and go fishing, most preferably, use a closed reel as it works best with baits.

Weights and instruments

Take your barrel swivel with a clinch knot. To control the speed of your bait cast and for effective casting, include a spot weight to the line. Pinch the weights on the line about a half a meter just below the hook. Do not let the weights too loose after pinching them, just let is allow fine adjustments.

Baiting and catching

Earthworms and locusts as well as crickets are accepted as well as canned corn kernels. However, this will be based on the weather, use crickets during dry seasons and earthworms during the rainy and flood seasons. Meanwhile, take a survey on the Wildlife management booklet to find the rivers with trout near you. If it is a worm, make sure it gets to the end of the hook without it being exposed save to the end part about the verge of the pin. Like all the fish, consider drawing your bait from down stream. This is because fish face towards upstream and then wait for the food swept by mud or water creatures swept by water. So when you sweep behind them, it creates a real feeling and the fish are most likely to rush to the bait.

Finding the best positions of fishing

Wait for about a quarter an hour before fishing at the same spot. Ensure that you cast slightly past upstream. This allows you to get fast and the best catch. The other place that you can find the best catch, is at the verge of converging currents. Otherwise, you have to observe by yourself on patches of water that are slow moving. Allow as well, to be advised by other fishers on the best points, especially if it is your first time fishing. This is the time you begin fishing, so take up your fishing gear and bait your hook.
So, enjoy your fishing and have it nice.
